GOSHO NISHIKI (Japan) - Double - Red. Immense carmine, edged white full double, rare. Smirnow's 1955 catalog.

GOVERNOR FULLER (Thurlows & Stranger, 1930) - Double - Pink - Late. Fragrant. Large globular flowers of fresh shell pink, shading somewhat deeper toward the center with a cupped effect. List in Bulletin 91.

GRACE BATSON (Sass, 1927) - Double – Pink type of tall, strong stems. Color, medium Midseason to late. Tall. Large flowers of full rose pink. Bulletin 33.

GRACE D. BRYAN (Rosenfield, 1908) - Double - Pink - DISCARDED - M.

GRACE ELEANOR (Richmond) - Double - Light Pink - Early, Graceful open flowers. Richmond's 1952 catalog and 1955 list.

GRACE GEDGE (Kelsey, 1934) - Double - Cream White - Late Midseason. Fully double cream white flushed with a delicate shade of pink. Color identical with NICK SHAYLOR. A flower of exquisite refinement. List in Bulletin 109. Bulletin 60.

GRACE KELSEY (Kelsey, 1940) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Large brilliant pink. Coloring resembles Mrs. Livingston Farrand. Strong stems, vigorous grower. Bulletin 80.

GRACE LEWIS (Lewis, 1922) - Double - Blush - Midseason. Tall. Fragrant. Deep blush, lighter toward center. Free bloomer. M.

GRACE LOOMIS (Saunders, 1920) - Double - White - Late. Medium height. Mild fragrance. Large, white with faint lemon tints in the depths of the petals. Floriferous, strong stems. Good foliage. M.

GRACE MACLEAN  (Saunders, 1920) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Bulletin 130, page 40.

GRACE OTT (Gumm, 1923) - Double - Red - Midseason. Tall. A compact, brilliant dark crimson flower with occasional bright stamens showing. Erect; free bloomer. (Seems to be well thought of by several prominent growers.) M.

GRACE ROOT (Saunders, 1940) - Single - Pink - Hybrid. Clear light salmon pink, cut shaped single. Albiflora x lobata. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129.

GRACE WILLE (Claar, 1956) - Single - Coral Pink - Hybrid. 3' tall. Clear coral pink, cup-shaped single. Albiflora x lobata. Bulletins 139 and 140.

GRADUATION DAY (Auten, 1939) - Single - White. Well finished bloom on good plant. Bulletin 80.

GRANDIFLORA (Richardson, 1883) Syn. ALPHEUS HYATT - HENRY WOODWARD. Double - Pink - Very Late. Tall. Fragrant. Very large. Bright pink, shaded old-rose and white, with some yellow at base of petals. Floriferous; weak stems. Heavy foliage. Immense, flat flowers of attractive color. Useful for extending the season because it is one of the last varieties to bloom. M.

GRANDIFLORA CARNEA PLENA (Lemon, 1824) - Double - Pink - DISCARDED - M.

GRANDIFLORA NIVEA PLENA (Lemon, 1824) - Double - Pink to White - Very Early. Tall. Sweet fragrance. Very large. Guards large, faintly pink, becoming white; ball-like center of small pale yellow petals fading white, with prominent red marks. Very floriferous. Weak stems. Heavy dark foliage. Variously described as rose, bomb, and crown type, and at certain stages it may be considered any one.  It finishes with a distinct tuft in the center. One of the very earliest white varieties and valued for cut flowers on that account. M.

GRANDIFLORA rubra (Origin unknown) - Double - Red - M.

GRAND MASTER (Rosenfield, 1934) - Double - Red - Early. Medium height. Rose type, dark brilliant red. Very full. Erect and sure bloomer. Bulletin 56.

GRAVETYE (Kelway) - Double - Flesh - M.

GRAZIELLA (Dessert) - Double - Pink - DISCARDED - M.

GREAT DREAM (Neeley) - Double - Pink. Light rose pink guards almost white with a large center of bright yellow shorter petals with some pink intermingled. Mr. Peyton says he wonders if GREAT DREAM and MATCHLESS BEAUTYcould be the same, he could see no difference in them. Bulletin 123, page 40.

GREAT LADY (Saunders, 1943) - Single to semi-double - China Pink - Hybrid. 31/2" tall. High-held single blooms of gay deep shining pink. Rounded petals. Albiflora x lobata. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129. Saunders 1955 catalog. Bulletin gives date of introduction 1940, but Saunders catalog gives date 1943.

GREEN ACRES (Little) - Double - Pink. Full double, large, with strong stems. Not tall. The color is a beautiful pink, not very light and not dark. Bulletin 127, page 14.

GREEN IVORY (Saunders, 1938) - Single - Light Green and White - Hybrid. Albiflora x Wittmanniana. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129.

GREER GARDSON (Payne, 1945) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. Average to large in size. Fragrance intense and agreeable. Large to very large, rather compact full double flower without stamens or pistils, opening (according to Ridgway) pale rosaline purple, fading to rose pink, borne on a medium compact plant of average to large size. Good, clean growth with disease resistant medium green foliage. Bloom held rather high above the foliage on good stems with no lateral bloom most seasons. Bulletin 98.
