FLARE (Murawska, 1943) - Single - Red. Brilliant flaming red.. List in Bulletin 93.

FLASH (Glasscock, 1950) - Single - Red - Very Early - Hybrid. Very bright red, medium height and size. Albiflora x officinalis Sunbeam. Bulletin 116.

FLASHLIGHT (Hollis, 1906) - Jap. - Red - Midseason. Medium height. Little or no fragrance. Medium size. Cupped guard petals dark rosy red, with a prominent tuft of pinkish staminodes tipped bright yellow giving a slightly terracotta effect to the center of the bloom. Medium growth; free blooming; medium heavy foliage. M.

FLAVIA (Lewis, 1921) - Double - Cerise - M.

FLIPPANCY (Lyman, 1939) - Formerly ARIEL - Jap. - Pink. Pale pink guards, pale pink and gold-tipped staminodes. Strong and fine blossoms; good form. Bulletin 81 and 93, List. Note: Ariel is nor registered (C.B.2000)

FLORAL TREASURE (Rosenfield, 1900) - Syn. DELICATISSIMA Double - Pink. 1930 Wild catalog: Mid-season to late, bright light pink bud of good form and will undoubtedly prove to be a valuable cut flower variety. M.

FLORA MACDONALD (Kelway) - Single - Amaranthine-Purple - M.

FLORENCE BOND (Gumm, 1936) - Double - White - Late Midseason. Medium height. Large globular flower of pure white, slightly tinted pink at first? strong steins; extra good. List in Bulletin 91.

FLORENCE BRUSS (Franklin, 1953) - Single - Dark Red - Late Midseason. This dark red single has large flowers with glossy petals and heavy foliage. It is of medium height and strong stems. Bulletin 131.

FLORENCE ELLIS (Nicholls, 1948) - Double - Medium Pink - Midseason. Tall. Nice fragrance. MARIE CROUSSE x LADY ALEXANDRA DUFF. Clear medium pink of beautiful tone. Wide petals, perfect rose shape. Very large. Lasting substance. Tall strong stems. Vigorous and floriferous. Bulletin 112.

FLORENCE MACBETH (Sass, 1924) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. Very large. Pale shell-pink, deepening toward the center; broad, flat bloom with shell-like outer petals and a center of waxy texture mixed with shreds of petals illumined by a golden glow in the depths of the flower. Strong growing; fairly floriferous; strong stems and good foliage. M.

FLORENCE NICHOLLS (Nicholls, 1938) - Double - Blush White - Early Midseason. Very fragrant. Very large double of rose shape, very wide and narrow petals intermingled. Blush white with a scarlet suffusion deepening to the center. Strong upright stems. Very vigorous and floriferous. Seedling #1 from MME. CALOT. Named for Mrs. J. C. Nicholls. Bulletin 73

FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE (Brand, 1907) - Double - White- Late. Medium height. Pure white, slightly marked red. Often fails to perform, has delicately arranged petals. List in Bulletin 130. M.

FLORESTINE (Berneche, 1924) - Single - Dark Red - Early. M.

FLORIST'S DELIGHT - Double - Pink. Tall, full double dark pink. Good stems. Silvery edges to petals. Murawska ad in Bulletin 122.

FLORIZEL (Brant, 1941) - Jap. - Pink. Guards clear soft rose. Center full of short, yellow petaloids of good texture. Unusual shade. Very delicate. Mikado is seed parent. Bulletin 83.

FLOWERET OF EDEN (Neeley, 1924) Registered in Bulletin 49 as FLOW'RET OF EDEN. Double - Pink -Early Midseason. Medium height. Large. Light rose-pink, shading to flesh-pink at the center, which becomes almost white with age, developing a high crown which hides the collar of yellow stamens so conspicuous in the early stages; a showy cluster of yellow stamens appears in the center of the flower. Excellent growth; floriferous; stems unusually strong but occasionally bend under the weight of bloom. M.

FLOWER GIRL (Auten, 1935) - Double - Blush-White. Dwarf - 25". Rose fragrance. A trim, perfect double bloom on a swarf, stiff stemmed plant. Blush fading to white with fine rose fragrance. A very outstanding true dwarf. Bulletin 61.

FLOWER OF CHIVALRY (Kelway, 1928) - Pink - Semi-Double. Light rosy pink guard petals with rose and cream and white center. Bulletin 38.

FLOW'RET OF EDEN (Neeley, 1924) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Shown in check list of Manual as 1919, and in the Descriptive List as 1924, and spelled FLOWERET OF EDEN. Medium height. Semi-rose type, large. Color light rose pink, shading to flesh pink in center, fading to almost pure white as the flower ages. Excellent growth and floriferous. Bulletin 49.

FLUFFY RUFFLES (Franklin) Name changed to BANNER BRIGHT. List in Bulletin 93.

FOAMING WAVE (Origin unknown) - Jap. - Carmine-Rose - M.

FONTENELLE (Rosenfield, 1916) - Double - Red - Midseason. (Mr. Rosenfield says Early). A good cut flower. M.

FOOTLIGHTS (Kelsey, 1938) - Double - White. A large, double MONS. JULES ELIE type. Broad, pure, white, outer petals surrounding a closely packed ball of narrow overlapping and entwined petals, enlivened by a golden glow that shines through from the depths. Total effect, a soft golden glow. List in Bulletin 109.

FOREST ROSE (Neeley, 1936) - Double - Pink. Unusual strawberry pink. Extra good. List in Bulletin 91.

FORMOSA ALBA (Lemon, 1830) - Double - White - M.

FORMOSA ROSEA (Origin unknown) - Double - Pink - M.

FORTUNE (Saunders, 1943) - Single - Pink - Hybrid. Rounded goblet of coral rose with wide white flares outside and coral pink warmth inside. Albiflora x lobata. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129.

FORTUNE'S GIFT (Neeley, 1930) - May have been called MORNING GLEAM. - Double - White. Creamy white, heavy stems. All stock seems to be lost, but it was given to several friends who may still have a plant of it. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 93.
