ABALONE PEARL (K 759)-William H. Krekler May 1978. Lactiflora, 32-inch, earliest hugh flesh single, nice. Bulletin #227.

ABALONE PINK (K 902)-William H. Krekler June 1978. Sturdy big pale pink, 26-inch hybrid. Registered Roy Klehm, Bulletin #231.

ACCENT (26-62)—Myron D. Bigger, 201 N. Rice Road. Topeka, Kansas 66616, 1979. Parentage unknown. A fragrant full rose type dark red. A very well proportioned flower on a thirty-inch stem with tough dark green foliage. Medium size bloom.

A LA MODE—Roy Klehm—Charles Klehm and Son Nursery, January 2, 1981. Parentage: Alice Harding x Chas. White seedlings; first bloomed 1966; seedling #99A. Single lactiflora. pure white large flower with yellow stamens. Flat form, good substance, stamens, pollen, seeds, fragrant, very reliable. Outstanding stem strength with exceptional foliage, 36 inches, early to midseason. Its outstanding individuality has been noticed by all visitors in the garden. Four buds per stem. Plant patent applied for.

AMBIANCE-Roy G. Klehm May 29, 1985. #11 Y. Parentage, line bred Charlies White Seedlings. First bloomed 1968. Lactiflora, pure white bomb. Fragrant, seeds with no pollen. Height 36-38", early, excellent vigor, foliage superb. Regal smooth white buds open into a nicely shaped bomb form, with good long stems for cut flowers. Klehm Nursery, Bulletin #255.

AMERICA—(Nathan Rudolph, Aurora, Illinois 1976. 60-62)— Hybrid, single, parentage Burma Ruby x unknown. First bloomed 1960. Early. Fiery red red flower, tulip like cupped buds, ruffled flower petals. Has pollen and stamens, no seeds. Blooms are 30% larger than Burma Ruby, 28" height. Exceptionally strong stems. 8-10 blooms on a three-year-old plant. Clean green foliage, center of flower, pure yellow.

ANN STYER—Franklin Styer, 1939. Formerly registered Slyer Seedling No. 1. Bulletin #186. Mutant of Mons Jules Elie. An even slightly creamy white, early bomb type. Stems not entirely straight. Franklin Styer 1976. Bulletin 220.

APACHE WARRIOR-William H. Krekler, Somerville. Ohio, May 1977. Blooms before May 3. Hybrid Seedling #251. Big wine-red single. Sparse stamens, 32 inches. Bulletin #223.

ARISTOCRAT (K 794)-William H. Krekler, May 1978. Hybrid. 31-inch, double red with gold edging. Bulletin #227.

ARTIC LIGHTS-William H. Krekler. Somerville, Ohio, May 1978. Seedling #108, 23 inches, upright deep pink single hybrid. Bulletin #227.

ATLAS (6606)— Parentage— Seedling 5908 x -----, Ben Gilbertson, Kindred, ND, 1975. Dark red double, semiball. First bloomed 1971. Very sturdy plant, stands straight, carries a heavy load of large unfading bloom on very stiff and strong stems. Three buds to a stem, pollen and sets some seeds. Reliable, the red never shows magenta. A vigorous plant, with dense foliage that glistens in the light, 30" in height.
