LONG ISLAND (Guille, 1952) - Double - White - Early. Medium height. The milky white guard petals surround a center of shorter creamy petals. The flower is medium sized. It is prolific. Bulletin 127.

LORA DEXHEIMER (Brand, 1913) - Double - Red - Midseason. Medium height. Fragrance not notable. Large, bright crimson, showing a light midrib on outer petals, center incurved, concealing a few stamens; floriferous; strong stems. Good foliage. Unusually good form for a red peony, and the color is clear and lively. M.

LORCH (Goos & Koenemann, 1913) - Double - White - Midseason. Fine rose fragrance. Large. Outer petals large, pure snow-white, incurving over a center of pale lemon and cream; a few pale crimson lines on the edges of petals near center, A scarce sort of which it is difficult to secure truly well-developed flowers. When well done it is an exceedingly symmetrical, high-built bloom with the petals regularly overlapped and incurved. M.

A most beautiful flower, well filled out; of a brilliant cherry-red color; a most dazzling hue; very free bloomer, lasting well.
