BURGUNDY WINE (Domoto-Roy G. Klehm), Klehm Nursery. Seedling #K87- 01. Deep burgundy wine red, semi-double tree peony. Parentage: Moutan seedling raised by Toichi Domoto, first bloomed 1987. It has stamens, pollen, seeds, good substance with abundant amount of bloom. Good stem strength, 3 ft. plus or minus early bloom, excellent vigor, one bud per stem, clean foliage. Center yellow stamens show when blossom fully open. Bulletin #295.

CALYPSO F 2 (Sea Nymph) (Nassos Daphnis, New York), Aug. 24, 1995. Seedling number 366. Parentage Coronal F 1. Self pollinated First year bloomed 1974. Single hybrid, yellow with red outlines. F 2 seed from Coronal F 1. Color like Coronal, form open and petals much stronger and much heavier. The red on the ridges of each petal is very unusual and breath-taking. Good substance, 10-20 amount of bloom, stamens, pollen, no seeds, fragrant, reliable, one bud per stem. Good stem strength, grows 4-5 feet and blooms the last of May. Vigorous and dark green foliage. CHERRY BLOSSOMS (Domoto-Roy G. Klehm), Klehm Nursery. Seedling #K87-04. Softest delicate pink, semi-double tree peony. Parentage: Moutan seedling raised by Toichi Domoto. First bloomed 1987. It has stamens, pollen, seeds, fragrant, good amount of bloom. Good stem strength, 3 ft. plus or minus, early bloom, slightly ruffled and crinkled, flower petals with average foliage. One bud per stem. Bulletin #295.

CHERRY FESTIVAL (Domoto-Roy G. Klehm), Klehm Nursery. Seedling #K87-03. Bright cherry red, semi-double tree peony. Parentage: Moutan seedling raised by Toichi Domoto, first bloomed 1987. It has stamens, pollen and seeds, good substance, abundant amount of bloom, good stem strength, 3 ft. plus or minus, good foliage, excellent vigor, early season of bloom, vibrant color, one bud per stem. Bulletin #295.

CLYTIE BC 2 (Water Nymph) (Nassos Daphnis, New York), Aug. 24, 1995. Seedling number D-343. First bloomed 1975. Parentage BC 1 x (Moutan) Red Rascal. Single, pure white with dark red flares in the center. Clytie, a water nymph, had fallen in love with Apollo, the sun. Always she is looking to the sky for her lover. Good substance, stamens, pollen, no seeds, fragrant, reliable. One bud per stem. Good stem strength, height 3-5 feet, blooms late May, dark green foliage. Vigorous. The amount of bloom varies (10-20). Colored slide. Bulletin #296.

COME HITHER LOOK (H. Entsminger, Cut Bank, Montana), 1996. Parentage, unnamed suffruticosa x bees. Tree peony, single pink (RHS 68-C) with deeper pink red flares and deeper pink (RHS 58-D) petal edge. Large cupped shaped petals with a 9" bloom. Mid-season bloom, first bloomed 1994. One bloom per stem, flowers held well above the bush, light fragrance, pollen and pod fertile. Medium leaf size (RHS 139-B). Bush wider than tall.

DAEDALUS F 2 (Father of Icarus) (Nassos Daphnis, New York), Aug. 24, 1995. Seedling number D-315, hybrid, dark red, semi-double, very dark red burgundy color. Petals like heavy silk with good substance and glowing quality. Dark center with bright yellow anthers. Has stamens and pollen, no seeds, fragrant. Good stem strength, height 4-5 feet. Blooms in late May. Very good vigor, dark green foliage, reliable. One bud per stem. Colored slide. Bulletin #297.

DIONYSUS (God of Wine) F2 (Nassos Daphnis, New York), August 24, 1995. Seedling number D-365, parentage Gauguin F1 (self pollinated) hybrid. First bloomed 1976. Bright red single, color like Fl Gauguin but much brighter, with veins running from the center to the edge of each petal. It has the crystal clear color of a good red wine. It is reliable, one bud per stem, has pollen, stamens, good substance, no seeds, fragrant, the amount of bloom varies. Good stem strength, 3-5 feet in height, dark foliage, and blooms the end of May.
