ADDIE TISCHLER (R. W. Tischler, Faribault, Minnesota), April 10, 1987. Seedling #8392. Parentage unknown. Double blush, blooms 6" to 7" in size. Plant grows about 30" in height, with good strong, straight and thick stems. Flower texture is heavy. Foliage dark green. Blooms late in the season. Bulletin #262.

AGE OF VICTORIA (Don Hollingsworth 1996), Maryville, Missouri, June 30, 1996. Seedling #963. Parentage Saunders Roselette's Grandchild x Cream Delight. First bloomed 1978 or before. Early herbaceous hybrid single, peachy buff veined and washed pink deep bowl, medium long stamens, red stigmas, red at base. Pollen, seeds and mild fragrance, strong stems holding a 7-inch bloom. Height 34" bush, 24-26 inches due to spreading in mature plant. 1-3 buds per stems, reliable, fertile.

ALICIA KUNKEL (R. W. Tischler, Faribault, Minnesota), June 17, 1987. Parentage unknown. Lavender-rose Japanese type, center a rose-yellow. Green carpels. 30-inch plant with medium green foliage, well-formed, hedge type and a free bloomer. 6-inch flowers set low to foliage on strong, stiff stems. Blooms mid-season. Bulletin #264.

AIMEE'S PINK (Granville Hall, Gloucester, Virginia), May 30, 1992. Parentage: Festiva Maxima x Kansas pollen. First year Bloomed 1988. This domed double lingerie pink has good substance; blooms are 6-7" in diameter, very nicely domed near-perfect form. The color is highly consistent throughout the bloom; does not fade easily. The special merit of this variety is its fragrance, strong and pure; lasts for several days in the vase. It has good stem strength, 34 inches in height, and blooms mid-late. Good green peony foliage. Bulletin #283, Sept. 1992.

ALLEY CAT (Roy G. Klehm), Klehm Nursery, June, 1995. Seedling #KR47-29. Lactiflora, good substance, cream to white. Real shaggy, green, cream, white with some raspberry tipping. Large. Rose pink tipped pistils. Average foliage, 0-3 side buds, slight fragrance, 5" wide bloom. Good stem strength 30"-32" in height, early bloom, pollen. Bulletin #295.

ANIKA (Galen Burrell), Ridgefield, Washington, May 31,1995. Single hybrid. Parentage: P. mlokosewitschii x unknown (probably P. mascula). First bloomed 1991. The flower is white with dark pink veins, 5-6 inches across in size. It has stamens, pollen and seeds, very reliable. It grows 2 feet in height, with good stem strength. Very early, at least two weeks ahead of P. tenuifolia. When this plant starts growing, the stems and leaves are red; as the buds start to mature, the foliage turns green. In the Fall, the foliage turns pink, red, orange and pale green. When in bud, it has withstood temperatures of 17°F. without any bud damage. The leaves are nearly round, much like P. mlokosewitschii. ARCTIC MOON (David L. Reath, Vulcan, Michigan), Jan. 28, 1992. Seedling #81-9; first year bloomed 1981. Parentage Cream Delight x Reath F-3. Creamy white hybrid, heavy amount of bloom on short 26" sturdy stems, shiny mid green leaves. Blooms mid-hybrid season (early) stamens, pollen, seeds and fragrant. Several side buds are held quite erect. Excellent landscaping. Bulletin #282, June 1992.
