Xin Jiao Hong. Hundred proliferate form. Flowers 16 cm x 5cm, red (43-C), soft. Petals 5-6-whorled, soft, sparse, curved inward, purplish red basal blotches, stamens a few, pistils developed, petaloid, yellowish green coloured in the lower flower. Petals relatively few, twisted; stamens and pistils small or pistils petaloid in the upper flower. Stalks pliable, flowers lateral. Flowering midseason. Plant tall, spreading. Branches stout, pliable. Leaves orbicular, medium-sized, thick, sparse; leaflets ovate, apex acute. Growth vigorous, flowers many. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze. in 1972. |
