Melting Snow

Can Xue. Crown form, sometimes anemone form occurs. Flowers 16cm x 7cm, at first creamy yellow, later white(158-C); the outer petals 2-whorled, large, stiff, nearly entire and regular, suffused with purple at the base; the inner petals rugose, crowded, some petaloid filaments bearing anthers are present; pistils small or developed, petaloid, yellowish green coloured. Stalks long, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant medium height, erect. Branches slender, stiff. Leaves orbicular, medium-sized, thick, sparse; leaflets ovate, with some and shallow lobes, obtuse at the apex. Growth vigorous, flowers relatively few. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1989.
