Dong Fang Hong. Crown form. Flowers 16cm x 5cm, purplish red (53-B); the outer petals 3- 4-whorled, stiff, flat; the inner petals fairly narrow, apex toothed, some stamens grow among the petals, pistils small. Stalks long, stiff, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant high, erect. Branches fairly stout. Leaves orbicular, medium-sized, thick, stiff, crowded; leaflets ovate, apex acuminate, the margins curved upwards. Growth vigorous; flowers relatively few; tolerant of diseases. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1967.
