Paeonia 'Jin Xiu Jiu Du'

Jin Xiu Jiu Du. Crown proliferate form. Flowers 16cm x 9cm, red(61-C). Outer petals 3-whorled, broad and large, broadly ovate, suffused with purplish red at the base, most stamens petaloid; pistils developed, petaloid, greenish coloured in the lower flower. Petals very small, rugose; stamens normal; pistils normal in the upper flower. Pedicels stout, straight, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant medium height, partially spreading. Branches stout. Leaves orbicular, small-sized, stiff; leaflets elliptic, acute at the apex, the margins slightly curved upwards, veins sunken. Growth vigorous, flowers many. Bred by Wangcheng Park, Luoyang in 1969.
