Bai Hua Kui. Crown form, anemone or lotus form occurs. Flowers 18cm x 8cm, red (64- C); the outer petals 2-3-whorled, large, thin, suffused with red at the base, the inner petals very small, rugose, crowded, some petaloid filaments bearing anthers are present, a few stamens grow among the petals, pistils developed, petaloid, greenish coloured. Stalks stiff, pale purple, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant tall, partially spreading. Branches stiff. Leaves orbicular, large- sized, soft, thick; leaflets long ovate, obtuse at the apex, pendulous, upper surface rough, deep green, suffused with purple. Growth vigorous; flowers many, not tolerant of strong sunshine; tolerant of adverse conditions. Bred by Heze Flower Garden in 1981.
